Brook Meggs is a guitarist, songwriter, vocalist and producer who has been performing and recording since the 1970s, as a solo artist, as a member of dozens of bands from Southern California to New York City to Austin to Boston, and as a collaborator with a great raft of gifted musicians of every ilk. In addition to his session work, he has released two solo records, INSECURITY and MARLBORO ROAD.
But it’s about time for something new, and indeed, a rather vast collection of brand-new original material is on the way. The Meggs Band has been hard at work at our favorite studio, Top Hat Recording in Knoxville TN, and the massive project is well underway.
Initial tracks will be available for download later this year, and as of March 2023, the entire collection will officially be available in all conceivable formats, everywhere in the known universe (and elsewhere), forever and ever. Amen.

Meggs is currently based in Massachusetts, where he juggles a full slate of musical endeavors including live performances, songwriting, recording, producing and, most of all, guitar playing – lead, rhythm, electric, acoustic, fretless, bass, dulcimer, you-name-it.
Since 2018, he’s been a member of the Jim Weeks Band, playing lead guitar at their frequent shows in and around Boston, and on the band’s critically-acclaimed, self-titled debut album.
And whether live or in the studio, Meggs can most often be found working (more like playing) with the talented collective known, logically enough, as:
